In Due Time
Today was our first baby appointment and I must say it was not all I had it cracked up to be. I dont know about you civilian folk, but in the military EVERYTHING is given to you in briefing form, even my first OB appointment. Basicly I had to sit and fill out all my paperwork and listen to a nurse go through a powerpoint of what to expect and how to take care of problems should they arise. So we got alot of nothing done in the whole 3 hours of this class. At the end of the 3 hours they had a short 5 minute interview with the nurse to see if I had any risk factors that would determine if i needed to be assigned a OB provider rather than a normal Family practice one. Well, Im not high risk (yet) so I was places in Family Practice. Now I need to get my lab work done and I need to schedule my ultrasound with the radiology dept. Also in the last 5 minutes during the nurses visit we find out based on our first day of our last period an aprox. due date. So as of right now 26 March 2010 is when I am due.

Congrats!
I'm sorry to hear that your first appointment wasn't what you expected. But that's nice to have an (approximate) due date! March should be a good month so you'll be pregnant through the winter but done before it gets too hot.
How is this going to fit in with your schooling? I hope everything works out for you guys! Congratulations again!
Yeah, that's pretty much how all three of my first appointments went. We are so happy for you. Are you going to find out the sex?
woohoo!!! Congrats on being prego!
