Sick of the Runaround

Someday... I when I grow up, I want to be a nurse. Sounds simple right? Well I would have to say WRONG! I feel like I am never going to get my degree finished. We move so much in the military that I havn't been able to start a nursing program because once I start there is no going back because if i start one place and have to move the process will start all over again. So I try to prepare myself for a universitys nursing program and the BAM! I dont get to go to that school I have to move and go to another school. So now I have to take 4 classes before I can even apply to a program. Come ON PEOPLE! I dont have time for this runaround. I want to get it finished. I even thought about going from a BSN to a 2 year RN. Well guess what. It will take me just as long to get the 2 year degree as it will the 4 year degree. SO... i'll take the 4 year. Now I am all waivered up to try and get into the program for fall but that doesn't secure me a spot in the program. I still have to be accepted and because I am on a waiver my application doesn't even get looked at till after all other applicants. My opinion on that one is thats absolutely stupid. I wouldn't even be going to your dang school if it wasn't for the fact that my husband is fighting for our freedom in the US Army and I choose to be with him and support him. But do i get anything for that... well if you could count all the crap I have to go through to get this degree then yes. But really all i get is a pain in the neck and ulcers in my stomach trying to deal with this junk. The army needs to have something in place to help Army spouses recieve the schooling that they want. But thats just my humble but correct opinion.

I give you permission to kick someone if you feel like it, Michelle :)

I totally agree with you. We obviously need soldiers and the crazy lives they have to lead shouldn't be a punishment. They deserve help getting certain things done like school for their wives. Not unreasonable at all. Where do we protest?!
