Nursing Pergatory!

Beginning of December I went through my first load of nursing school finals. WOW was that an experience. There was no such thing as sleep for the month of December especially that special week of studying till my brain hurt. The worst part about it was that they put "the most important final" at the end of finals week, the DAY AFTER another final. So which one do you think i studied for more. I guess I will know better next time. My grades ended up being alright but the most important thing is that I passed my first Level of Nursing school WOO HOO! And on to Second level and dreaded Pharmacology! YAY.

Its a Girl!

As many of you know by now our Baby is going to be a girl. I wasn't quite sure how to react when we found out. I always wanted a boy first ... I dont know why. Maybe because I never had a brother and I always thought it was cute to see girls with their older brothers. But I dont mind having girls. As my dad said... "Welcome to the Irvin Curse" HAHA! He never had boys. All girls. But my mom said that girls can be great! She had three that she loves very much. SO i got over myself and we are going to name her Lily Joann. The first name cam from my mother who randomly called me one day before Colin and I were even pregnant yet and said, "I heard the cutest name for a baby girl today, If you have a girl you should name her Lily." The funny thing was is that was one of the names that I liked and was throwing around to my picky husband who didn't really care for it at first. But I won. He was especially ok with it when we decided to have her middle name Joann. Joann was Colin's Oma's name. He loved her very much and still talks about her often. I never did get to meet her, she died before Colin and I met. She sounded like an amazing person and we are proud to have a piece of her in our daugthers life.

Oh Baby!

Here are our #2 sonogram. It was funny getting these done because when you have an ulrasound you are suppose to drink a certain amout of water an hour before so that the technition has a clear window to look through. Well I did and the baby was not having it. No cooperation what so ever. And half way through the tech made me go pee so that maybe the baby would cooperate. These are some pictures from that visit.

Long Time Coming

So Im sorry about the lack of updates on here. I asked Colin to update this a few times and we just never got around to doing it. Everything has been really busy and hopefully we can update more often. SO im going to update so dont be alarmed when there are multiple posts.
